Jutta Russell, based in London, has been a make-up artist for over 20 years. Initially she started out in the theatre working on productions such as Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Bluesbrothers and Westside Story. Then she moved into commercials (Vodaphone campaign, BT), music promos (Morrissey, Super Furry Animals, Meatloaf) and worked on fashion shows and editorials. For over 18 years now she has worked as a Make-up and Hair Designer in British Film & TV Industry.

Jutta is a friendly and collaborative make-up artist and is often asked by other designers to be part of their team, either as Key second unit make-up artist (Mortdecai, Unlocked, Burnt), be a crowd supervisor (Mr Selfridge (Konnie Daniel and Erika Okvist: season 1, 2 and 4 and Their Finest Hour (Lizzie Georgiou). She also has been asked to look after guest artists on a show (for example Shirley MacLaine the Christmas Special of Downton Abbey).
Between designing her own productions she has worked as freelancer on many high-profile films & TV shows including: Saving Private Ryan, The Mummy, Star Wars, The Fifth Element, Warhorse, Pirates of the Caribbean, Snow White and the Huntsman, 47 Ronin, Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy, Thor, Mortdecai and most of the Harry Potter films.
She is a facial hair and wig maker and has a stock of her own wigs and beards. Jutta is bilingual in English, German and fluent French.
